BLOOD STREET SCULLS SUMMER COMPETITIVE PROGRAM FOR JUNIORS

The Old Lyme Rowing Association is very pleased to offer junior rowing to Southeastern CT once again this summer! The Juniors will train and compete for approximately six weeks under the direction of our Coach Paul Fuchs. The program is 5 days/wk from 6-8am. We usually attend 2 regattas in the summer

FALL COMPETITIVE AND DEVELOPMENT FOR JUNIORS

In the fall, both competitive and development programs are offered for junior rowers. Both programs are open to young athletes who are high school students entering grades 9-12, or with the approval of the head coach. Afternoon practice for crews enrolled in the Competitive program is five days/week and for the Development group is three days/week . Practice runs from 2:45 to 5pm.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEARN TO ROW

Open to students entering 6th-9th grade who are interested in learning to row. Young athletes are provided with a comprehensive introduction to the sport through active participation. Three 2-week sessions are offered in the summer. Practice is Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:15-10:15 AM.

HIGH SCHOOL/ADULT LTR

Open to adults and high school students who are interested in learning to row.  Athletes are provided with a comprehensive introduction to the sport through active participation.  Three 2-week sessions are offered in the summer. Practice is Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 6:00-8:00PM.

USRowing National Learn-to-Row Day

On the first Saturday in June, as part of an annual nation-wide program, the boathouse is open to any and all who have ever thought they would like to see what the sport of rowing is all about…and to get an opportunity to (gently) step in a shell and row on Rogers Lake!  After that you will want to sign-up for a LTR program above; you will be hooked!

Collegiate Summer Rowing

Open to students attending college who are 18 years old and available from May through August. Rowers have the opportunity to train Tuesday/Thursday from 6:00-8:00PM and Saturday/Sunday from 7:00-9:00AM. Open rowing is also available from 6:00-7:30AM weekdays per shell availability.

Masters Rowing

Blood Street Sculls Competitive and Recreational rowing for adults of all abilities is available from March through November.  Rowers have the opportunity to train and to race in sweep or sculling boats. Practice is Tuesday/Thursday from 6:00-8:00PM and Saturday/Sunday from 7:00-9:00AM.  Open rowing is also available from 6:00-7:30AM weekdays.
